I have just recently had a Velorex 700 installed on my 1000Vstrom with a slight suspension upgrade i am now revisiting the days of my XS 500 Yamaha and a Boat tail velorex circa 1976 very much would enjoy communicating with other side car enthusiasts

Hello Doug. I have been sidecar piloting since 1966. I have an early Steib chair that I have had mounted to a variety of Harleys and Nortons, currently on a 68 Atlas.  I have built sidecars, raced sidecars, built suspensions, Earles forks and special attachments. I did 200 miles yesterday and plan to do more today. Sidecars are fantastic.

Got my Rig all sorted out carrying about 60 lbs of sand as ballast when solo and if i get a passenger the sand goes on the shoulder of the road. Initially i used water in in a container but found that well i am not careful enough putting it in the sidecar trunk and went through two 5 gallon containers before switching to sand!

Wife and grand kids love the chair and i look forward to many more years of tooling around and getting waved at by all the little ones and adults i pass!

Went all out purchased the proper roof for the side car and now if it rains when i am out the wife stays dry and well i get to be a bit wet .

All in all an great investment in my riding future

I have a 1974 R90/6 BMW with a Cozy sidecar and I have more fun with this rig than I could have ever thought.  It is a daily rider and is so practical for loading "stuff", parking and just getting around.  It attracts total strangers like a magnet!!!   The combination is perfect: weight of the bike and sidecar, size, etc.  Greatest way to go.

Looking for assistance on the body of my side car is a weather strip or moulding that runs all along the top side of the side car to protect the edges i have one small issue mine is two inches to short (no short jokes please) Does anyone have a strip of thhis i guess you would call it 3/4 square molding about 3 inches long so i can complete the loop? Or suggestions where i may find a similar molding to keep the rain out and my wife happy!

    Any guidance would be appreciated
